My hope is that after an introduction to our people and our services you will want to become a part of The Citizens Bank of Georgia as a customer. The Citizens Bank was founded by a group of local business leaders and professionals who believe our community needs a bank that is committed to serving the needs of businesses and residents of our community.

The following information will tell you about the specific services we offer. Considerable effort has gone into designing competitively structured, fairly priced banking services. While we are proud of the services we offer, we understand that the only real way to differentiate ourselves from our competitors is the way our staff of experienced bankers deliver these services to you.

Meet Our Team

Tim Perry

Timothy M. Perry

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Perry has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of the bank since 1999 and was an original member of senior management when the bank was organized in 1996. He is a graduate of the University of West Georgia and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Mr. Perry currently serves on the Georgia Bankers Association Board of Directors, is Chairman of the Forsyth County Civil Service Board, Past Chairman of the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, Past President of the Rotary Club of Forsyth County, past member of the Development Authority of Forsyth County, and past member of the Forsyth County Board of Ethics. He and his wife Nancy live on Lake Lanier and have 2 daughters, Caroline and Grayson (deceased).

Sam Story

Sam R. Story

Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer

Mr. Story has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of the bank since 2015. He is a graduate of the University of North Georgia and the Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University. Mr. Story was a founding board member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, previously served on the Board for CASA of Forsyth, and coached youth sports for many years. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Cumming. Mr. Story is a lifelong resident of Forsyth County. He and his wife Kelley have 2 children, Robert and Maryann.

Rachel Marshall

Rachel E. Marshall

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Marshall has been the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the bank since 2017. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1995. Ms. Marshall served in the United States Navy from 1987 thru 1994. She currently serves on the Board at CASA of Forsyth and is a Production volunteer and member of The Local Church-Forsyth. She and her husband John, live in Forsyth County and have three children, Heather, Michael and John.

Cindy Watson

Cindy D. Watson

Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer

Ms. Watson has been the Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer of the bank since 2012. She is a graduate of Georgia Southwestern University. Ms. Watson has been a member of the Rotary Club of Forsyth County since 1998 and served a 4-year term as Treasurer. She is also former board member for both United Way of Forsyth County and Forsyth County Public Library. Ms. Watson lives in Forsyth County and has two children Whitney and Blake.
